A conversation about working with AI
Swap an hour of your time for an hour of mine. Help me deepen my research into AI at work, and get a coaching session in return – talk about AI at work, or explore anything you want.
I'm running a short series of conversations with knowledge workers about what it's actually like to work with AI right now.
Maybe you built a really cool prototype in Lovable and wonder what's next. Maybe you feel you've reached a plateau in how well you utilise AI in your work. Maybe you've been using AI seriously for a while and you're trying to figure out where it fits in your career. Whatever the shape — if you've been actively using AI at work for three months or more, and you have a feeling about it that isn't fully resolved, I'd like to talk with you.
What this is
A 45-minute video conversation, recorded for my notes (not for publication). I'll ask open questions and listen. There's nothing to prepare. There's no right answer. I'm not selling anything — and if you ask about what I'm working on, I'll tell you in 30 seconds and then ask you to keep telling me about your experience.
Why I'm doing it
I spent two years researching how knowledge workers relate to AI for my MSc. The findings (currently in peer-review) surfaced a striking pattern: people are having rich, ambivalent experiences with AI and almost no shared language for them. I want to understand what that looks like for you, in your work, right now. The conversations feed both the research and a new piece of work I'm scoping for Slow Works.
What you get out of it
A coaching session afterwards, on me. 55 minutes to think through how AI is showing up in your work: what's stuck, where you'd like to take it next, what's worth doing differently. It's what I do day to day. And it makes it a fair exchange, you give me an almost an hour of your time, I'll give you one back.
An early copy of the research findings too, if you'd like to see them.
